About DIGITAL PREMISES
- Digital Premises Ltd plans to trade as both an on-line e-commerce company and as a major Valued Added Reseller / Services company within the digital space.

Web Design proposal

Designs
The first design is bold and challenging to the user. It has strong colors and it catches the user’s attention immediately. We have recommended this design to our client. You can see the design layouts here: Layout 1, Layout 2, and Layout 3.
The second design embeds the digital and i-age spirit. It layout reminds us of the menus of our DVD player or TV. It is very visually oriented so the user doesn’t need to read much in this way it is easy to use the website and navigate. See the layouts here: Layout 1, Layout 2, and Layout 3.
The third design has a note of those science fiction movies where everything is white. It has calming colors and strong note of the featured products. See the layouts here: Layout 1, Layout 2, and Layout 3.
Digital Premises Web site components
From our discussions, we have identified the following objectives:
Website frontend specification
- Product catalogue with product specifications, multiple images, prices, product availability and related products which are linked to this product (ex. Product accessories etc.)
- Similar to amazon.com section with the products that other customers viewed along with this one, to keep the customers browsing the site and discover new items to buy
- Send this item to friend page that will allow the user to recommend this product to friend that may be interested
- Customizable special offers section
- Full database search which allows users to find easily what they are looking for, even without knowing in which section/category the product is
- Web 2.0 (AJAX) keyword suggestion tool that suggest the most reverent search keyword as you type, this is useful then the user doesn't know or remember the exact product name
- AJAX mini cart which allows the user to add/remove items from the cart without reloading the page and in this way increasing the user shopping experience
- Secure shopping cart for the order checkout
- Site cache system that dramatically increase the loading speed of the site, for example without the cache system a standard product details page will be loaded up to 3-6 seconds, with our cache system a page will be loaded for about 0.2-1.0 seconds

- Registered user will be able to:
- Speed shop because we will save the user information as he enter it once and then he will only have to enter his credit card details
- Manage address and contact information
- Will be able to have multiple delivery addresses at once

- Similar to amazon.com user viewing history which will allow to the user to easily view recent items again
- Repeat an previous order without needing to select the items again
- Dynamically generated pages that will be editable trough the site backend so your team can easily update the information
- FAQ section to help the users to use the site and make orders
- AJAX based contact forms which are spam-secure and you will not receive spam trough your site contact forms
Website backend specification
- The website backend will be web based which will allow you and your staff to access it from any computer with internet connection
- The backend system will be module/component based which will allow us to easily upgrade the site with new functionality when that is required, and also mean that if some module is broken the site will continue working without it
- Content management system - the entire site content will be generated from the database. This allows us to build advanced content management system which will allow you and your staff to update/link/remove pages without any web design skills. We will integrate AJAX WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor with spell check and styling capabilities that looks and feels the same as Microsoft Word so you can format and ménage content faster and more productively
- Product catalogue management system which allows you to:
- Add/remove product categories and subcategories.
- To edit item information, upload pictures and link items to each other
- Change prices and add discounts
- Add keywords that will be used in the search engine optimization
- Stock information - including stock transactions, history, stock locations, stock alerts what will warn you when you are running out of stock on certain item
- Suppliers information
- Suppliers contact information
- Suppliers stocks and prices
- Order management system which allows you to:
- Add/view/remove orders
- Review order and manage the order completion, direct product shipping request, shipping labels and picking lists.
- View, send by mail and print product order requests
- Analyze and compare order reports by - total orders, orders by date range, orders by products, orders by customer, orders by price, completed orders, uncompleted orders, cancelled orders, average order price etc.
- The orders tracking will allow us to build very accurate and effective email marketing solution which will send the user new products in their range of interests. For example if the user buys an iPod and new iPod accessories are available, the system will automatically send the user an email to check out the new products. In this way we are able to stick the existing customers to continue shopping from the site and visiting recently.
- Invoice Management system
- Allows you to generate, print and send by mail invoices for the online orders
- View all invoices and re-send them if necessary
- Customer management system will allow you to:
- Add, view, delete customers
- Change customer information and addresses
- View customer order history
- Track the customer behaviour and browsing experience
- View customer orders that have never been completed
- Email opt-in and opt-out settings
